Welder
POSITION
Summary:
Welder is responsible for welding of new dollies, and support of new product integration at Boston Whaler.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:
Requires extensive knowledge in all aspects of fabrication and welding
Candidate must either be certified or willing to get certified after 90-day probationary period
Candidate must be able to pass the Boston Whaler weld test
Requires extensive knowledge in dolly styles and identification
Candidate must be fork lift certified and capable of operating large equipment throughout the campus. Requires initiative and the ability to work under minimal supervision
Candidate must be able to have a flexible schedule and be willing to work overtime, including weekends if needed to support production needs
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Welding Certification from accredited college
Mig and Tig experience
Use all fabrication and welding tools, power and hand tools
Basic communication skills
Basic computer, math, reading and measurement proficiency
Must be able to read drawings and specifications
Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and LSS preferred
Ability to follow established safety guidelines
Detailed and organized
Self-starter, team player with a good safety awareness
Ability to perform other duties as required
Lift more than 50lbs
Fork lift certified and capable of operating other heavy equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lift up to 30 lbs up to 60% of shift and 50 lbs up to 30% of shift; push/pull up to 30 lbs
Walk, stand, bend, twist/turn, reach overhead and grasp tools as necessary
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
